Product Details ofSaturation Monitor Handheld Fingertip Pulse Oximeter

Work principle of Saturation Monitor Handheld Fingertip Pulse OximeterThe original oxygen saturation meter was developed by Millikan in the 1940s. It monitors the ratio of hemoglobin with oxygen to hemoglobin without oxygen in the artery. A typical oximeter has two LEDs. These two LEDs face the patient's area to be tested - usually the fingertip or earlobe. One diode emits a beam with a wavelength of 660 nm, and the other emits 905910 or 940 nm. The absorptivity of oxygenated hemoglobin to these two wavelengths is very different from that without oxygen. Using this property, the ratio of two kinds of hemoglobin can be calculated. The test process usually does not require blood from the patient. The usual oximeter can also display the patient's pulse. According to beer Lambert's law, the functional relationship between ratio R / IR and arterial oxygen saturation (SaO2) should be linear. However, because biological tissue is a complex optical system with strong scattering, weak absorption and anisotropy [2 ~ 4], it does not fully comply with the classical beer Lambert's law, resulting in the expression of measured values of relative changes in red and infrared absorbance (R / IR values), It is difficult to establish a mathematical model of the relationship between and arterial oxygen saturation (SaO2). The corresponding relationship between R / IR and SaO2, i.e. calibration curve, can only be determined by experimental method. Most pulse oximeter manufacturers obtain empirical calibration curves by experimental methods to complete the pre calibration of products before leaving the factory.

Saturation representation

Functional saturation:

SO2 = oxygenated hemoglobin / (oxygenated hemoglobin + reduced hemoglobin)

Natural saturation: (fractional saturation)

SO2 = oxygenated hemoglobin / (oxygenated hemoglobin + reduced hemoglobin + carboxyhemoglobin + methemoglobin)

In clinic, functional saturation is often used to reflect the change of oxygen content in blood oxygen.

Reasons for saturation decrease

Diseases of respiratory and circulatory system, dysfunction of automatic regulation caused by anesthesia, major surgical trauma, and injury caused by other treatment and examination

Symptoms: dizziness, weakness, vomiting, serious cases will be life-threatening.

Evaluation of test results

According to medical analysis, the oxygen content in blood is greater than or equal to 95, which is a normal index; The pulse is between 60-100 times per minute, which is a normal index. If the values you detected do not meet the above two indicators, please test them 2-3 times at different time points to maintain continuous testing for 2-3 days. If the values in Saturation Monitor Handheld Fingertip Pulse Oximeter still do not meet the standards, it is recommended that you go to the hospital for detailed diagnosis.
